About Kratom Passport
Who runs Kratom Passport, why it exists, and what we will and won't do.
Kratom Passport is a directory, not a store. We publish three things: the legal status of kratom in every US state, a directory of the shops that sell it, and a directory of the wholesalers and exporters that supply those shops.
Why it exists
Roughly 95% of the world’s kratom is grown in Indonesia, and nearly all of it is sold in the United States. Between the farm and the shelf are exporters, importers, wholesalers, and thousands of small retailers, and there was no single place where they could find each other or check the law before shipping. Meanwhile the legal map changed monthly through 2025 and 2026, and most of the “is kratom legal” pages online were out of date the week they were published.
What we do
- Track every state’s kratom status, with the date we last reviewed it and a source.
- List shops for free so customers can find the ones that test their product and check ID.
- Give suppliers and exporters a place to be found by the shops that actually buy in bulk.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, ship, warehouse, or broker kratom.
- We don’t make health claims about kratom, and we don’t let listings make them either.
- We don’t list shops in states where retail sale is banned.
- We don’t give legal advice. Our tracker is a starting point; your attorney is the finish line.
